Eurofins offer consultancy on toys and toy legislation
It is very important that manufacturers, importers and distributors of toys keep track of the legislation that governs this field
Toys must be properly labelled, and you must always have the right documentation to prove that the labelling is correct and that the toy complies with current legal requirements. As from summer 2011, requirements for the documentation of the actual manufacture will become stricter.
Apart from EU directives and Danish statutory orders, trends and requirements from consumers and consumer organisations increase. There may be special focus on specific substances contained in toys because new knowledge has been acquired in the field. So, apart from obeying the law, further requirements by the consumers may have to be met. This requires comprehensive knowledge of the contents of chemical substances in one’s own products and may also require further analyses and testing of toys.
It can be hard to keep track, because toys constitute a special focus area of politicians and press alike. Therefore, Eurofins offers the necessary counselling, guidance and/or sparring on matters concerning toys. Thus, you will always have an update on the latest knowledge. We also offer training courses, during which we introduce current legislation to the extent our customers consider relevant. In addition to these consultancy services, Eurofins also offers the necessary testing and analyses of toys.
